Dr. Michael Camp, PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Camp is the owner of Bethpage Physical Therapy and is a highly accredited & recognized Physical Therapist and Performance Enhancement Specialist. He graduated from the University of Maryland, with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Exercise Physiology. Upon graduating, he went to Osteopathic Medical School, but then changed careers and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Having a passion for manual medicine and Human performance enhancement, he pursued continuing education in Osteopathic Manual Medicine, and other advance manual courses. Dr. Camp trained in Tampa, Florida, rotating through several top Performance facilities, working with Medical Teams, designing and implementing post-surgical elite programs, rehabbing, and enhancing the performance of Athletes from MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL, UFC, NBA, Pro Golfers, Tennis Pros, Collegiate Stars, and Olympic hopefuls. He earned his CSCS, from the NSCA, Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification from NASM, and many other noted credentialed courses in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.
Dr. Camp contributes to periodicals like Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Fitness, and online at Muscle & Fitness.com discussing programs involved with Health, Fitness, and Injury Prevention. He has been featured in Muscular Development, Muscle Mag, and The Alpha Male Challenge. Dr. Camp was also featured on MSNBC, MSG, and HBO working with various athletes and discussing his views on injuries in sports and bodybuilding. Dr. Camp is continuously courted by many top pros to design their Strength & Conditioning Programs, and is flown across the country to consult about lagging injuries. Dr. Camp is recognized as someone who can train with the best and in many cases, sets the pace when working alongside top athletes.
As a powerlifting and bodybuilding competitor, he has squatted 505, deadlifted 605, and benched 385, all raw and weighing 181 pounds. In addition, he has been involved in either training or learning from the best in various fighting disciplines for the past 20 years
Dr. Jonathan Amato, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Amato is a Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He graduated from S.U.N.Y Cortland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and spent four years as a Physical Education and Health teacher while getting his Masters from S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook. He spent ten years living in New York City while playing USA Super League Rugby for New York’s Old Blue Rugby Football Club. During that time, he was the resident Strength Coach at a physical therapy and performance center in Midtown. It was after retiring from playing rugby that he decided to go back to school and get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mercy College. Dr. Amato has been heavily involved in the health and fitness industry for over 14 years.
As part of a lifelong passion for human movement and performance, he is relentless in his pursuit of the best new practices and trends in the fitness and rehabilitation industry. He is a GRASTON certified MT1 provider, a ROCKTAPE FMT1 and FMT2 provider, and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Dr. Amato is also a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities. He is one of only approximately 600 in New York state and less than 14,000 board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist's in the country.
Dr. Amato has had the opportunity to be a contributor for magazines such as Men’s Health, Women's Health and for online publications such as BarBend.com, Oprah.com and others.
He has been involved in many different athletic events and competition’s over the years such as, wrestling, football, weightlifting, rugby and is currently a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. He has had his fair share of injuries over the years and has been on the other side of the treatment table, therefore has an extensive knowledge on what it takes to get back into the game. He prides himself on his hands on skills and manual techniques, and it is his experience as a high level athlete that sets him apart when it comes to treating patients and training them to get back in the game.
Dr. Kyle Globuschutz, PT, DPT
Dr.Globuschutz graduated from SUNY Albany with a bachelor degree in Psychology. He worked for 5 years, one on one with mentally and physically disabled individuals as a Community Habilitation Specialist. Kyle decided to go back to school to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. He graduated among the top of his class and was nominated by faculty for induction into Alpha Eta, the National Honor Society for Allied Health Professionals.
Kyle is patient, empathetic and motivated to help get you back to your prior level of function with less pain. He uses a hands on, manual approach combined with individualized therapeutic exercise programs regardless of age or athletic ability.
Kyle played soccer and lacrosse growing up and has continued to remain active. He trains regularly at his uncles boxing gym, plays touch football every Sunday morning, and enjoys getting out on the golf course. Kyle has dealt with chronic neck pain which has kept him from doing what he loves. He understands what it is like to be limited by pain but he also knows what it takes to overcome it. He can help you overcome what is limiting you!
Alicia Mastrosimone, PT, MS, BS
Alicia Mastrosimone has been a member of the Bethpage Physical Therapy team as a part-time employee since 1990. Alicia has experience treating pediatric, adult, and geriatric orthopedic dysfunction, female pelvic floor dysfunction, and adult neurological and vascular disorders. Alicia also has experience providing adult and geriatric in-patient and sub-acute rehabilitation, as well as pediatric, adult and geriatric pre-operative and post-operative cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
Alicia has been in the field for over thirty years, graduating magna cum laude with a master’s degree in physical therapy from Long Island University.
Alicia is a Graston M1, FMT and MFR, provider. Alicia is BLS and Pilates Mat certified. Alicia often incorporates manual mobilization and yoga as a treatment technique for orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Alicia’s approach to physical therapy remains functionally based with an emphasis on concise and realistic care. In addition, her home exercise programs encourage safety, mobility and an active lifestyle.

Alicia has held full time supervisory positions at Mount Sinai Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Alicia’s teaching experience includes several years as an associate adjunct professor at Long Island University, as well as lecturing at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Helen Hayes Hospital. Alicia has also presented her thesis to the NYS APTA chapter.
Dr. Evan Bronchick, PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Bronchick is a licensed New York State physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist who joined Bethpage Physical Therapy in 2013.
Evan earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University at Buffalo in 2006. As part of his training in Buffalo, his studies included working with Division I athletes, where he designed and implemented extensive exercise programs for them in the gym. After graduation, he earned his certified strength and conditioning specialization (CSCS) through the national strength and conditioning association (NSCA) and worked as a personal trainer and exercise physiologist while attending physical therapy school. In 2009, Evan graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from Long Island University – Brooklyn.
Since earning his degree, Evan has taken many continuing education courses including Maitland, muscle energy techique (MET) courses, running and foot analysis seminars, selective functional movement assessment (SMFA), and others. In April 2017, Evan was invited to be a guest speaker at the New York Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Conference at Queens College.
With more than eight years of physical therapy experience, Evan takes pride in being a hands-on therapist and focuses on manual techniques that encourage the healing process and promote proper function. He has experience treating a dynamic patient population ranging from school-aged children, athletes, and the geriatric
population. Treatments include post-surgical issues, balance and gait disorders, vestibular disorders, musculoskeletal dysnfunction, spinal issues, sprains, strains, etc.
Most importantly, Evan cares about getting patients back to their normal lives. He develops comprehensive programs specific to each patient so they can return to function, return to sports, and return to their daily routines without pain or issues.
Kyle Sanchez, B.S. Exercise Science
Kyle is an aspiring Physical Therapist who currently works as Head Trainer and Physical Therapist Aide at BPT. He graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in May of 2016. He has been involved with the field of Physical Therapy since 2013 when he first started with Dr. Michael Camp. Since then, Kyle has gone on to observe in a number of settings including an internship at Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset. A former lacrosse athlete, Kyle last played for SUNY Cortland’s Men’s Club Lacrosse Team, and knows firsthand how the proper rehabilitation is vital for an athlete’s return to sport. Aside from Physical Therapy, Kyle has a love for fitness and also works as a personal trainer who has trained a wide variety of clients throughout elite gyms on Long Island. Kyle also has experience as a strength and conditioning specialist for baseball, lacrosse, wrestling and combat sport, and soccer athletes.
Sam is an aspiring Physical Therapist who works as a Physical Therapist Aide here at BPT. Since the age of 14, Sam was inspired to become a Physical Therapist due to her own injuries from sports, as well as doing at-home PT for her younger brother as rehab for surgeries that he had on his leg. What intrigues her the most about Physical Therapy is that to her, it is as if she is solving the puzzle of the human body. Since she was 15, she volunteered in a PT office, and eventually got a job as an aide in her hometown, and now works with us here. Sam loves working with and helping people. She continues to use her experiences and time working to enhance her knowledge, and she is currently enrolled in the 3+3 program at NYIT for Physical Therapy.
John Primavera, PTA
John is a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant at Bethpage Physical
Therapy. He graduated from LIU CW post college in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a student athletic trainer for four years while attending CW Post. He worked with a variety of sports teams and evaluated and treated diverse sports related injuries.
John then attended Nassau Community College where he earned his Physical
Therapist Assistant degree in 1999. He has over 10 years of clinical experience as well
as in-patient rehab. His many years as a PTA has given him the experience of
rehabbing a wide spectrum injuries and surgical procedures.
John is very excited to join the Bethpage PT team. He aspires to grow both
clinically and professionally as a PTA. When not working John enjoys traveling,
bodybuilding and spending time with his family.
Nicole is an aspiring physical therapist at BPT, who currently works as as physical therapist aide. She recently graduated with honors from Hofstra university majoring in community health. She has much experience in physical therapy through injuries from being a division 1 athlete and a national champion competitive cheerleader. She previously was a gymnastics and cheerleading coach where she inspired athletes of various ages to become national champions of their own. She has mixed her love of helping people and cheerleading by volunteering for a special education cheerleading program. Nicole is CPR/AED and First Aid Certified.
Andrew is a Physical Therapist Aide at BPT and is currently in the application process to getting a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Nassau Community College. Andrew was previously in the field of IT/Cyber security but was not happy with the lifestyle. He has always had a passion for physical fitness and enjoys helping others so making the transition into the health and fitness world seemed like the right move. Andrew is energetic and eager to help and has been a great addition to the community at BPT.
Jen is the"key master" of this ship. She deals with all of the ins and outs of insurance and billing. Without her, you can't come to therapy, and we don't get paid. She is the glue that holds it all together. She has been working with us for over 10 years. If you need anything; billing info, medical records, approvals whatever, she is your gal. So be nice to her.
Sharon is the "Gatekeeper" here. You need an appointment, you gotta go through her. Another key component that keeps this ship running smooth. Again, you better be nice to her, or good luck getting in!
